Date Night: Hart House in Burnaby

In About Me, Around Vancouver, Fujifilm X100, With my girlfriend, With People I love on 02/11/2012 at 1:14 pm

Ohhhh.. Another eerie restaurant. Just like the teahouse in Stanley Park, this one was another beautiful home with a lot of history! The thirteen-acre estate Hart House has a plethora of history that dates back to 1906 though the restaurant has only been open since 1988. Janelle and I had dinner there to celebrate my new position as a RN for a local hospital here in the Greater Vancouver Area. Look at the other photos we took after the break!

Kinda eerie isn’t it? Well it wasn’t on the inside. For Dine out 2012, Janelle and I went to the Tea House in Stanley Park. They had the $28/person menu and it was quite a delicious experience. Look at the other photos we took after the break!

Engagement: Peter & Leah

Maria, Leah’s sister, came to me one day and asked if I could take her sister’s engagement photos. We ended up booking a Sunday afternoon in the middle of October to get them done. Even though it was a little chilly outside, the weather didn’t affect me so much as I was feeding off Peter and Leah’s energy! They are such a cute couple and it’s easy to see why they are meant for one another. They make each other laugh and throughout the shoot, they were so naturally in love that it made the photoshoot a blast! Hit “more” to see the rest of their shots!

w/ Janelle @ Red Robin

In Around Vancouver, Cameras, Canon 5DMKII, Canon EF 24mm f1.4 L USM, Gear, Lenses, Travel, With my girlfriend, With People I love on 10/06/2010 at 8:56 am

Literally five minutes ago, I decided to take a quick break from studying to blog about Red Robin – the restaurant! Whenever Janelle and I can’t find a place to eat, we always go to Red Robin! They have the brightest and most red interior interior that I’ve seen and it’s always such a delight to take photos in the place. This time around, I had the right camera with me – not the iPhone.

John & Liz met at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom which is a small Catholic university in rural Ontario. They were engaged on July 21, 2010 and are set to be married next year on July 16, 2011 at Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, in Douglas, Ontario which is Elizabeth’s home parish. With John and Liz, it was easy to see true love shine. I asked them one simple question and that was “What makes your other half so special to you?” So rather than talking on their behalf, I’ll let them share their own replies.

063/365 – Janelle’s going home!

Sadly, Janelle and I are going to be separated from each other on our 1 year anniversary – January 1st 2010. She has to attend ate Karen’s wedding, and thats just how it is!

So anyways, i just wanted to tell her that i love her very much and i hope she has a safe and enjoyable ride home. She rode business class on the way home. I hope she enjoys it.

062/365 – Christmas time!… well… not really.

062/365 – Christmas time!… well… not really.

As a family, we celebrate christmas as the clock hits 12. Right after 12, we open gifts, and eat lots and lots of ham. Before 12, we eat and eat dinner. we watch movies, and just enjoy each other’s company.

So what did i get this year? Nothing much. Just cash, a tube of gel, a bowtie, and a car seat warmer. LOL. This is better than last year. Last year, i got a ton of presents but my parents werent home, so it didnt really feel like christmas. I’d rather have no gifts and my family around me than to have gifts and no one around.

Janelle and I were able to get to downtown just before 10pm. So as we were walking there, i wanted to take a picture of her and the beautiful downtown city lights.

004/365 – Stop Staring!

For lunch, we went out to eat at south ocean seafood resto! its basically a dimsum place. When the food came, my sister was bugging me to serve her food, and i just kept telling her no, no, no, no, never! Then she got mad, and stared at me! i told her to quit it, and she wouldnt stop. So i pulled out my iphone and took a snapshot of her like this! and I said… you are now on my 365 project. and here she is! Tada!
